CALL FOR CREATION

Who can apply
Artists, writers, and creators of all disciplines based in or connected to Iranian and Israeli contexts. You are welcome to participate under your name or anonymously.
What you can send
A letter can take any shape, as long as it can be archived and shared digitally — on Instagram and on our website. This includes:
– Written texts — letters, poems, fragments, reflections
– Audio — voice notes, sound pieces, spoken word
– Visual works — drawings, photography, calligraphy, collage
– Video or performance excerpts
– Hybrid or experimental forms
How it works
Letters travel from artist to artist — from Iranian to Israeli, from Israeli to Iranian.
(For the safety of our community, letters will only be sent to Iranian participants who live outside of Iran.)
You may choose your role:
Start a chain — offer the first letter. It will find its way to someone on the other side.
Continue a chain — receive a letter and respond to it. Your response then travels forward.
You will not necessarily see the full chain — and that is part of the work. Transformation, reinterpretation, and unexpected resonance are all welcome here.
If your letter receives a response, Shushana will first arrange an accurate translation before passing it on to the email address from which you submitted your work.
Submission guidelines
– Audio / video: up to 10 minutes
– Text: up to 1,000 words
– Language: entirely your choice (translations into English are optional, but warmly appreciated)
– File formats: suitable for Instagram (MP4, JPEG, PNG, PDF, and similar)
Please include with your submission:
– Your preferred name, or a note that you wish to remain anonymous
– Your group — Iranian or Israeli
– Whether you'd like to start a chain or continue one
– In addition to your typed submission, if you'd like to include a photo of a handwritten draft of your letter, we would be delighted to receive it.
